Project Lantern (“we”) runs the website projectlantern.site and a Minecraft server. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Your account: email address, display name, and your password stored only as a secure hash (we can't read it).
- Your Minecraft account, if you link it: its username and UUID.
- Game statistics sent by our Minecraft server for linked or ranked players: ring, ring level, Ring Mastery, Prestige, achievements and leaderboard scores.
- Orders and commission requests you send: what you asked for, its status and price. Card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and never reach our servers.
- One cookie that keeps you signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Basic server logs (such as IP addresses) kept by our hosting provider for security.
Why we use it
- To run your account, show your profile and leaderboard places, and deliver what you buy in game.
- To answer commission requests and support questions.
- To keep the site and server safe and enforce the rules.
We don't sell your information.
Who else handles it
Our website host (Vercel), database host, Minecraft host (Apex Hosting) and payment processor (Stripe, once payments are switched on) process data for us to provide the service.
Your choices
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your account and data: contact the staff on our Discord server.
- Players can be hidden from public leaderboards on request.
Children
If you are under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), please don't create a website account without a parent or guardian's permission. Parents can contact us to remove a child's account.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
